I saw a film, “A White Bird,” and witnessed wonderful feelings great kindness makes. It’s about main protagonist Sara, and the young man who was bullied at school, but saves Sara’s life.
My father doesn’t give movies a praise easily, but he was very much moved and said, “I wish many more people could watch this film.” “Only one person is needed to change one’s life.”
Ms. R. J. Palacio who has originally written “A White Bird”, has also written the novel “Wonder” which became a 2017 film.
I have read it twice and saw the film version twice too.
The main protagonist is a kind boy who has a sense of humor and a genetic illness which required him to have surgeries on his face many times.
Because of his parents’ considerations, he starts school at 5th grade.
I learned the importance of not judging people by appearance, and genuine kindness is the power to make people happy.
