Everyone Sets Examples

Before Ms. Zarna Garg became a successful comedian, she had been seeking her passion, but couldn’t find it easily, and was irritated often.

Then, one day, her daughter sent her a thoughtful letter and more notes later on, and because of those encouragements, Zarna found her passion to become a professional comedian.

I have listened to that story on her audiobook, “This American Woman” by Zarna Garg. Published in April 29th, 2025 by Random House.

We don’t know when or how we get life changing lessons.

But Ms. Zarna has found her passion, because she has been very honest with herself and sought it hard.

Her story has been a good example of “Seek, and you shall find!”

I told someone this story and she said to me,

“Sometimes young people can teach us valuable lessons.

There is a saying that ‘we can learn from everybody.'”

I like that teaching very much.

For example, when I see young people working hard, I am encouraged to take on more workload.

We can learn from bad examples, too, as the saying goes, “Correct your conduct by observing that of others.”

But if I say things like this, I am afraid some people will say that “they will keep doing bad things to set bad examples.”

As long as people live, they will set good examples and however hard we try to avoid making mistakes we do often fail.

Let us learn from everyone.
